CONTROL VALVES

Types

MFC offers the followings control valves:

  •  The V-Ball valve is a low maintenance valve with a tight bubble shut off feature. All valves have high manageability with the ability to work in high temperature (up to 1000°F) and in pressures as high as 500PSI (liquids) and 150PSI in steam.
  •  V-port ball valves use the “floating ball principle, which will provide a bubble tight shut-off in addition to the modulating flow control. When the valve is closed, upstream pressure pushes the ball against the downstream seat, thus enhancing the seal.

Angle Control Valve

Angle valves are structured so that the center lines of the entrance and exit of the fluid intersect

  •  Angle valves are structured so that the center lines of the entrance and exit of the fluid intersect perpendicularly. In general, the horizontal line is the entrance and the vertical line is the exit .
  •  Angle valves are usually used for is to regulate or control the flow and to reduce pressure. They may also have some influences on temperature. The mechanisms used to reach these functions may differ. For example, angle valves can be used as shutoff valves, needle valves, check valve or stop-check valves

The rotary control valve is a directional control valve actuated in a rotary motion. With high press

  •  The rotary control valve is a directional control valve actuated in a rotary motion. With high pressure and zero-leak performance, the valve is designed and manufactured to meet your requirements for both topside and subsea applications.
  •  A rotary valve (also called rotary-motion valve) is a type of valve in which the rotation of a passage or passages in a transverse plug regulates the flow of liquid or gas through the attached pipes. The common stopcock is the simplest form of rotary valve.

  •  A more modern version of the globe valve design uses a piston-shaped plug inside a surrounding cage with ports cast or machined into it. These cage-guided globe valves throttle flow by uncovering more or less of the port area in the surrounding cage as the plug moves up and down.
  •  To improve the control capability of the globe valve, a cage is utilized to adjust the flow coefficient in the valve. For example, if one feels like decreasing the flow coefficient, then a cage with numerous passageways will be considered rather than replacing a smaller valve and pipe

  •  Angle Valve in combination with an actuator is designed to regulate the flow rate, pressure or temperature of liquids, gases or vapors. The angle valve is suitable for use in aseptic applications (e.g. in the pharmaceutical and food industries).
  •  The valve with its actuator is designed to operate under exactly defined conditions (e.g. operating pressure, process medium, temperature).

Lined Globe Control Valve

Large Cage Guided Control Valve

Sanitary Aseptic Control Valve

  • Lined globe-style valve is a one-piece valve body which has pure-modified (reinforced) PTFE trim parts, push-down-to-close action, and positive shutoff.
  •  This valve is for applications involving severely corrosive and toxic flowing media and is well-suited for pure media applications, as well.
  • Within its temperature and pressure limitations, line globe -style valve body may also be applied to most media.

  • A microvalve is microscale valve, i.e. a microfluidic two-port component that regulates the flow between two fluidic ports. Microvalves are basic components in microfluidic devices where they are used to control the fluidic transport.
  • Microvalves found today can be roughly categorized as active microvalves and passive microvalves. Based on the medium they control, microvalves can be divided into gas microvalves and liquid microvalves. Based on their initial mode, microvalves can be divided into normally open, normally closed and bistable microvalves

  •  3-way control valve shuts off flow in one pipe while opening flow in another pipe. In a modulating or 3-point floating application the valve can also mix flow from two different pipes into one pipe or divert flow from one pipe into two different pipes.
  •  A 3-way ball valve has three ports or openings that are connected to piping or tubing for gas or fluid flow (media) to pass through. These ports are usually described as one inlet and two outlet ports or one outlet and two inlet ports depending upon the flow direction through the valve.
